Two servers with two different motherboards have been tested and have broken. It seems like an older version of AHCI is imcompatible with CentOS 6 in a very strange way.

Motherboard One: Intel DG33FB (Core 2 Quad)
Motherboard Two: Supermicro X7DBE (Xeon Clovertown)

Both servers run fine with CentOS 5. CentOS 6 seems to install fine, when the install is finished it asks to reboot. When the server reboots, the server BIOS hang at the AHCI SATA drive recognition screen. From this point the system freezes and does not allow you to enter the BIOS menus or continue booting the system.
