I have saved a text file owned by root on a users directory. With permission set to 400.<br />

The user open the file using vi and not able to view file because of permission settings. Started to type randomly and try to save the file. I was able to save it with :wq!<br />
<br />
listing the file shows the permission to be the same but the file owner and group is now set to the user.
