My CentOS 5.5 went into a reboot loop after the last patch installation. I elected an immediate reboot after the patch was installed. It finally rebooted after a half hour of continual attempts. The disk checked OK when I ran the diagnostics. I don't believe it is a hardware problem. A problem similiar to this occurred to me when I screwed up the dates on the calendar. Do you have modules that are date dependent? I'm a programmer and I built an invoicing system for Mobil Oil. The price lists were time stamped and would automatically kick in at midnight.
