I have my own i386 netinstall CD (HTTP) with my own kickstart files. When I install it on a 2-disk system and configure Software RAID1 partitions, the installation will run fine but the system will not boot afterwards. When I examine each disk with dd (dd if=/dev/sda bs=512 count=1) I do not see any sign of Grub. I can duplicate the problem with the generic CentOS netinstall CD. Additionally, if I point my own netinstall CD at http://vault.centos.org/5.6/os/i386 [^] and configure the identical RAID1 partitions, my system boots fine after installation and I can see grub using the dd command I listed above.
