I have consulted <a href="http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/PredictableNetworkInterfaceNames/">http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/PredictableNetworkInterfaceNames/</a> [<a href="http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/PredictableNetworkInterfaceNames/" target="_blank">^</a>]<br />
which I considered the most recent description of how to rename network interfaces. <br />
None of the 4 versions in that document worked here on this platform. <br />
The final network names just did not change from the original ones whatever I did.
