On IBM eServer 326m the USB controller driver crashes when e.g. accessing disk (3ware-sas RAID).

This issue prevents completing first boot configuration during CentOS 6.x install.

This is why I sticked with CentOS 5.x (CentOS 4.x End of Life is in a few days), but after replacing the RAID controller with this one (3ware 9750-4i) I get this also here. The crash is almost immediate. I replaced the 3ware-sas driver with compiled from source, and this helped only a little.

As a result of the crash the controller is disabled while an interrupt is pending, maybe under load the interrupt is delayed beyond driver's expectations or there are some timer/clock issues.

I would live with this (a keyboard is not needed with a server), but sometimes you need to use a pen drive or a DVD drive (USB one).
