0005564: shadow passwords

Usually a copy of /etc/shadow from some old computer to new computer allowed users to connect to the new computer. Now we have some new computer with CentOS 6.2 and I copied /etc/shadow from older computer (Mandriva2010). <br /> After testing I saw that users can't connect with their current passwords. The only user that was able to connect had a MD5 encrypted password (starting with $1$ ); other passwords are starting from $2a$ (Blowfish). I know that CentOS by default encrypts new passwords by SHA512, but it doesn't mean that the system will not accept other encryption !
