0007851: Crashing the kernel using a GSM USB device

This problem is related to kernel upgrade to 2.6.32-504.el6.x86_64.
When a GSM USB device (aka Internet Key) is plugged in and then plugged out, the kernel crashes.
Tested w several Huawei devices (i.e. E220, E230, E270).
The issue is triggered for every device that requires the loading of the usb_serial kernel module; CDC modems (i.e. Huawei K4203) work fine.

Booting the older kernel 2.6.32-431.29.2.el6.x86_64 solves the problem.

This bug may pose a security threat too: since it doesn't require a logged in user, it may be used to crash an accessible server, exposing the machines to a quick sabotage.
