My system has all repositories disabled, same for fastestmirror plugin.<br />
I can't just remove the CentOS.repo (which works) because any update of centos-release package would put them back<br />
Upgrades come from a spacewalk 2.3 server, whose channels are linked to a local (hence LAN) mirror.<br />

The error itself is due to mirrorlist.centos.org resolving to ipv6 which is disabled. But that doesn't explain why yum tries to reach this URL in the first place
