0004896: tulip driver (network card) does not work with kernel-2.6.18-238.9.1.el5

After upgrading to kernel 2.6.18-238.9.1.el5 my network card was not available. If I switch back to the previous version (kernel 2.6.18-238.5.1.el5) the card is working again!
