0006169: gnome clock-applet leaks memory

Noticed that something was using a lot of RAM, top reported swap usage up approaching 3 gigs, while it "used" to be around 150M. Launching any non-trivialy-sized program caused a storm of disk activity, which is abnormal for this machine.<br /> <br /> watched top for a while and saw that "clock applet" showd "1.6g" in the "RES" column. killed and restarted clock applet and it showed "11m" in the same column.<br /> <br /> having now been running for a half hour or so since the restart, it is now up to "15m", apparently still climbing.
