The protobuf compiler, in order to support grpc specifications in the proto file definition of components, requires that the grpc package is built and installed on the system. Without grpc package installed the protoc compiler is missing core functionality.<br />

I would like to have persistent storage for rpminspect jobs that are currently running in a jenkins instance in apps.ci.centos.org but ran into a problem with the contents of that volume and had to delete it. I believe that the volume name was "fedora-build-checks".<br />

As I understand the setup, the backing storage volume needs to be deleted by an admin before it can be re-created from openshift.<br />
<br />
Please delete the backing volume so that I can re-create it.

In other words, reading the file is fine (the SHA sum is correct when comparing it to other pods), but qemu-img is upset.<br />

However, this lives on a shared volume, all other pods are fine with it. I validated this with<br />

The broken pod is the only one that runs on the n22.kempty node, the others seem fine. As `strace` does not work in docker containers, I can't think of a further way to examine this. Does that node have something funky in its journal, or could you try to run `strace` on the qemu-img on the node?<br />

Perhaps it just needs a reboot?<br />

Note, I will kill this pod now until I catch one that runs somewhere else.<br />

0016242: SMB/CIFS server connection stalls accessing files using kernel-3.10.0-957.21.3.el7
When accessing files on a SMB share on a CentOS server running kernel 3.10.0-957.21.3.el7 the connection appears to stall. The client will hang and eventually log something along the line of:<br />

kernel: CIFS VFS: Server *** has not responded in 120 seconds. Reconnecting...<br />
kernel: CIFS VFS: Send error in read = -11<br />
<br />
- The issue does not occur when the server is running an older kernel, including kernel-3.10.0-957.21.2.el7.x86_64. <br />
- Reliably triggered by reading several files (e.g. `grep "something" * -R` or `git status`) <br />
- Listing files does not appear to trigger the issue<br />
- Tested with fully patched CentOS 7 and Ubuntu 18.04 as clients

Logs me off if lkjsdf does not exist. Works fine for existing directories.<br />
<br />
junkfile can be empty or contain anything, it is properly executed and THEN <br />
user is logged out.<br />
<br />
Contruct is used as a way to created on the fly prompts depending upon directory one cd's into.<br />
<br />
Usually cd is aliased to ' cd \!* ; source prompt '<br />
where prompt is a tsch script of arbitrary complexity.<br />
<br />
Using this alias any cd into a non existent directory causes an immediate logout.<br />

Description of problem:<br />
Problem is located specifically to the card, a USB WiFi adapter does not have the problem. Seems to be after the machine is running for more than 20mins. Doesn't seem to be any specific cause.<br />
Loses connectivity and doesn't show any networks when scanning. System reboot seems only fix, but is temporary. Problem seems also be be distro agnostic, Win 10 Enterprise doesn't have the issue so looks like it is a Linux issue somewhere.<br />
