I logged in and immediately logged out. Now the GUI Login wants me to log in to a safe session, which it allows, and to fix whatever the reason (I changed my mind) was for the apparent login failure. The error message shows a home dot (.) file with warnings, but the file doesn't actually exist, or at least not where it is shone to be.
